Armstrong Environmental is proud to sponsor Michael Pearson and Chris Ogden as they prepare for the World’s Toughest Row – Atlantic in December 2026.
Competing as Beyond the Blue, Mike and Chris will row approximately 3,000 nautical miles from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua.
Their ambition is to be the fastest team in their class—a challenge demanding months of preparation, physical endurance and close teamwork.
Mike and Chris plan to row in alternating two-hour shifts, day and night, aiming to complete the crossing in around 40 days.
They will face interrupted sleep, isolation and challenging ocean conditions. Their success will depend on preparation, determination and trust in each other.
Beyond the Blue’s mission extends beyond the finish line. The team is raising awareness and funds for ocean health, supporting the work of the Blue Marine Foundation and The Ocean Cleanup.
These organisations work to protect and restore marine environments and tackle ocean plastic pollution.
