Climbing a mountain

What a challenge for team Armstrong Environmental.  Climbing Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, situated in the beautiful Lake District National Park.  We even found out we had a couple of mountain goats in the team........and aches and pains in places we can't mention.  We did it! It was a superb day!

Sunny Cyprus

This year our Project Manager, Peter Surtees, has been providing support to a client in Cyprus.  The project included two visits to the island commissioning a local exhaust ventilation (LEV) system which is used to control diesel exhaust emissions from a vehicle.  The approach we take to commissioning a system like this is across a two phased approach.  Phase one being a thorough examination and test checking the system complies with relevant design criteria, HSG 258 values and COSHH Regulations.  Phase two includes proving effective control using careful occupational hygiene techniques to assess airborn levels of hazardous substances and proving the sytem is capable of reducing operator exposures to hazardous substances.
